Welcome to our first newsletter!
A contract has been signed between WR Benton and Saga Books to produce the Drum Series of books. You can find more information about the books here, but the time period is from around 1864 to 1879, so far. Depending on how popular the series becomes, more books may follow. Additionally, Saga has just released, Silently Beats the Drum, book 1 of the series and you can see it here.
Also, contracts have been signed to have Nate Grisham, Black Mountain Man and Missouri in Flames, I Rode with Jesse James, both to be printed in 2006. Missouri in Flames was written with information provided by WR Benton's Great-Grandmother and by doing a great deal of historical research. While the book is based on fact, the dialog and actions are based on known or suspected behaviors of the characters, the actual conversations are from the author’s imagination.
Additionally, Capri Publishing has signed a contract with WR Benton to publish “War Paint” and it is due out before the end of this year.

Terry Townsend will soon open his own bookstore, but the title and URL have not been released by Terry yet. We'll keep you informed of the status, but it's sure to have a lot of hunting, fishing, camping, and other outdoor titles on it.
We will soon be offering an awards program to excellent sites and the evaluation will be tough, but fair. There will be three awards, bronze, silver and gold.
