J.L.  Campbell

Author of Black Raspberries and Other Tales

J.L. Campbell graduated from high school with aspirations of becoming a successful writer. Instead, he found a rewarding job that demanded enough of his time to put aside his writing and enter the working world. Years later, regretting not chasing his dream, he decided to write short stories to entertain his friends and family. After much success, he created a web site that would premier a new story every month. Receiving well over 100 unsolicited comments on his writing, he decided to pursue his life-long goal of becoming published. At the ripe-young age of 41, his dream finally came true.

Born and raised in New Hampshire, Campbell bases many of his short stories in the New England region. He currently resides in The Great North Woods of New Hampshire with his wife and daughter and is currently working on his new anthology to complete his second book.

Jim Woods worked as Editor, Editorial Director and Managing Editor for (then) Petersen Publishing Company, Los Angeles; and as field Editor with (then) Publishers Development Corporation, San Diego.  He has worked as an engineering writer-editor in the aerospace/defense industry, and served, honorably, with the U.S. Navy.

He holds the dubious distinction of having been a prisoner in Angola, under 24-hour personal guard of a Cuban soldier with a decidedly evil looking AK-47 inches away from Jim’s throat, this before the safari even started.  To continue his life adventures, Jim drives an open top roadster, fast, raising the top only in rain to protect the interior leather.
